In his regular blog on, PA’s Søren Lehn, IT-enabled business transformation expert, speaks about the CIO of the future and the new competencies they will need within areas such as IT security and business intelligence. According to Søren, the CIO of the future will work more closely with the business, playing a key role in shaping the organisation and building the processes needed for transformation.

Søren says: “The CIO is the prime mover in the company’s digitisation strategy […] In short, he or she is extremely important, not in their traditional role, but as the architect that helps strengthen the company’s financial foundation. The CIO should help to transform and shape the company, and through this make it flexible and therefore resilient enough to withstand crises.”
