In his regular Computerworld blog, PA outsourcing expert, Henrik Ringgaard Pedersen, comments on PA and Whitelane Research’s Nordic outsourcing survey. The study reveals that Danish companies plan to increase their outsourcing of IT services despite their dissatisfaction with local suppliers.

Henrik says: “The survey shows that companies want to increase the quality of their IT services through outsourcing and enable them to make important changes to their business. This in turn increases the requirements on the suppliers as well as the companies themselves.”

The survey also collates responses from suppliers who state that nearly half of all clients lack maturity with transition and change management in general.

Henrik adds: “Companies need to organise their outsourcing projects as genuine change projects, focusing on technology as well as people. It’s also essential they manage suppliers, contracts and deliveries effectively. Lastly, the effort needed to get the most out of their suppliers and experienced staff, ensuring they deliver the best IT services.”
