As a Managing Consultant specializing in Financial Operations Improvement and Data Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients enhance their financial processes, improve operational efficiencies, and leverage data for informed decision-making. You will lead consulting projects, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development efforts.
- Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and operational challenges.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on financial operations, data analytics, and best practices.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to review project progress, gather feedback, and refine strategies.
Business Development and Sales:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to identify and secure new clients and projects.
- Leverage your network and industry knowledge to generate leads and close deals.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the growth and success of the practice.
- Financial Operations Improvement:
- Analyze current financial processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Design and implement optimized financial workflows and controls to enhance accuracy and compliance.
- Develop performance metrics and dashboards to monitor financial operations and drive continuous improvement.
- Data Analytics and Insights:
- Leverage data analytics tools and methodologies to analyze financial data and generate actionable insights.
- Collaborate with clients to develop data-driven strategies for financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality and integrity across financial operations.
- Project Leadership and Delivery:
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex financial operations improvement projects on time and within budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, and monitor project milestones.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
- Training and Development:
- Provide training and support to client teams on best practices in financial operations and data analytics.
- Mentor junior consultants and team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards throughout project implementations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with financial processes and data management.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA, M.S. in Data Analytics, etc.) is preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial operations, management consulting, and data analytics.
- Proven track record of leading successful financial improvement projects and utilizing data to drive decision-making.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and best practices.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel, SQL) and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Strong client management and relationship-building skills, with experience working with senior executives.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
