Celebrating our best employer network award

We're thrilled to announce our Women in Tech team (WiT) have won the ‘Best Employer Network’ award at the Women in Tech Employer Awards 2022. This award recognises the efforts of the Women in Tech team to build a positive and diverse human future.

Over the years the team has focused on diversifying the technology industry, by providing learning and development opportunities, building supportive communities, ensuring recruitment activities promote equal opportunities, and removing barriers to entry for women. The team is known for organising external Web Development and Python coding courses, running a growing mentorship scheme, sharing a monthly newsletter, hosting quarterly events, and leading on partnerships with many companies such as Google and Amazon Web Services.

On the evening of this exciting event, the WiT team were joined by PA sponsors Helen Mullings and Andrew Earnshaw. Sophie Jansz, WiT lead said: “This award represents the passion and commitment of the 40 PA WiT team members. For the past three years, they have gone above and beyond to proactively build an inclusive community, provide Learning and Development experiences and drive opportunities for women in STEM careers. Well done and thank you. I'm so proud of all we have achieved together.”

The judges were impressed with how in-depth the team’s entry was and said: “The work they’re doing is really tailored to helping develop and train women. A worthy winner.”
