Now in its fourth year, this WiMAX Forum®-endorsed event has a two day multi-track conference agenda, complete with senior level plenary sessions.
Day three of the event will be a briefing day on Eastern Europe, highlighting the challenges and market opportunities in this region.
New spectrum is being auctioned globally, enabling greenfield WiMAX operators to enter the market and offer fixed, nomadic and often mobile services. It is unclear if there are economically viable business models for new entrants in increasingly crowded market places.
PA's Rob Westwick illustrates how new entrants can develop their business plans by building a rigorous top-down and bottom-up wireless broadband model based on:
1) Understanding the wireless broadband market and its dynamics
2) Developing disruptive business models to build on new entrants' strengths
3) Operational experience of trials and implementation to deploy quickly and effectively
4) A deep technical understanding of the technology costs and its 3GPP competitors
