Thermocore Medical - Designing an innovative thermography system to diagnose serious heart problems

PA has helped Thermocore Medical to develop a new diagnostic system that assesses patients for the likelihood of a sudden heart attack.

At the heart of the system is a miniaturised, rapid exchange catheter, which is designed to detect and map small temperature variations inside the coronary arteries. These temperature variations are believed to be caused by vulnerable plaque – one of the major causes of sudden heart attack.

PA managed the co-ordination of a range of manufacturers, designers and suppliers across Europe and the US – and led the development of the core system component, a catheter that is doubly innovative.
