‘Dragon’s Den’ style pitch for winners of the latest Cambridge University Entrepreneurs’ (CUE) business competitions
Through its alliance with CUE, PA Consulting Group has sponsored two CUE business creation competitions, CUEBiC and 3P, the winners of which were announced at CUE’s 'Where Angels Dare' evening on 18 June 2007
Having secured a share of the £20,000 prize money for their business ideas, the winners then had an opportunity to pitch their idea on stage that evening - ‘Dragon’s Den’ style - to a panel of CUE Business Angels (personal investors) and early stage investors (venture capitalists) to compete for an additional £10,000 cash prize and further investment funds.
The evening session was open to anyone (by prior registration), and provided an excellent opportunity for networking with members of the Cambridge, UK, and regional entrepreneurial community. PA, which is a Gold Sponsor of CUE, is offering early management consultancy expertise and support to the winners. The CUE Business Creation Competitions are open to Cambridge University staff and students who are serious about starting their own business:
- 3P is for profit or non-profit business ideas, which focus on creating social or environmental benefits
- CUEBiC is for high growth, high-tech business ideas which tend to attract business angel and venture capital investment.
