Why did you join PA?
I joined PA's Project management practice recently, after graduating from university and spending a few years working in IT.
 I was looking for new and exciting challenges and decided to direct my career down the consulting path. PA was a natural choice for me: it came highly recommended on both a professional and personal level and I knew it would provide the dynamic, challenging and rewarding environment I was seeking. The Project management practice appealed to me because the practice works across all industries and sectors, both public and private.
What do you enjoy about working at PA?
On my first assignment I am working with a top insurance company as they prepare themselves for compliance to US Sarbanes-Oxley legislation, covering internal controls across all aspects of the business. The assignment exploits my mix of management/planning and technical skills well. Working with a cross-practice PA team provides insight into how PA unites consultants with varying skills and expertise to deliver maximum value to the client.
I enjoy interacting with my PA colleagues both in and out of the office. Right up to the most senior members of the practice, the voices of experience always have time and are willing to share the wealth of knowledge they have accumulated over the years. Induction and training courses provide an invaluable introduction to PA and consulting life as well as the opportunity to build a network. Regular team socials allow all the practice to get together to catch up on recent events, news and opportunities. An informative presentation is followed by nibbles, drinks and some good banter!
