Package-enabled change
Delivering benefits at a faster pace
Investment in IT alone will not change the way a business works. Instead IT should be used to support and enable changes in the actual business processes. A combination of the best business process re-engineering together with enterprise-wide IT, focused on business-critical processes, will deliver rapid and effective business change. PA calls this approach 'Pace'.
Pace – package-enabled change – is the rapid achievement of business benefit through process improvement enabled by a chosen enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
Pace is designed to achieve the benefits of package-enabled change far faster than many other approaches. The aim is to implement a typical project in nine months and to achieve business benefits from that moment on.
Two aspects make Pace unique:
-
it provides a framework for delivering business change, based on establishing a clear understanding of potential benefits
-
it delivers rapid results by improving core business processes, and supporting them with all the proven advantages of enterprise-wide IT systems.
PA’s approach to business transformation with ERP systems incorporates lessons learned on many major change projects (with or without IT), and with SAP R/3, Oracle and PeopleSoft in particular. The approach focuses on obtaining top-level commitment to change, developing a process-based business design to form the basis of package configuration and creating a multi-stream program to deliver the benefits to the organization.
Whatever stage your organization has reached in using systems as part of business change, PA believes that the Pace approach can help you.
