The time is 14:00 and Samantha Wilson is midway into her shift as a control room operator taking calls in the Fire and Rescue Service Regional Control Center.
Samantha has just been alerted to an automatic fire alarm activation in the Steven Redgrave building in the Lea Valley Olympic Center, London. The building sensors have relayed information that the fire started in the restaurant kitchens and appears to be spreading dangerously quickly. She reviews the entry on the mobilization and resource management system, and issues a mobilization instruction call to the London Fire Brigade:
“Presumed electrical fire at the Steven Redgrave building in the Lea Valley Olympic Center. Source believed to be in restaurant kitchens, but spreading quickly throughout the building."
