A large pharmaceutical company asked PA for help when its supplier was unable to meet its increasingly complex needs or to provide the required service levels at acceptable cost.
PA identified alternative sourcing options and assisted the client through all phases of a Request for Proposals (RFP) lifecycle: RFP creation, bid evaluation, short listing, due diligence, contract negotiation and final vendor selection.
PA also helped to define a new Service Management model, complete with roles and responsibilities, processes, governance structure and a performance management framework to govern the new arrangement. Finally, PA mapped out a transition strategy and helped with transition management.
Not only does the new contract meet the client’s needs better, but it will also deliver $75m (NPV) of cost savings over its lifetime. Other benefits of this best-in-class agreement include financially enforceable service level metrics, scalability and flexibility, price transparency and benchmarking.
