GN ReSound - transforming innovative product development performance
GN ReSound is a world-leading manufacturer of hearing instruments. The hearing industry is very competitive and, although GN ReSound has introduced a number of breakout new products in recent years (such as ReSound AIR, Pulse and Azure), the company’s management team recognised the need to constantly challenge ways of working to minimise time-to-market, while continuing to deliver world-beating innovative products from its product development teams in Denmark, the US and China.
Our challenge was to deliver even faster product development in a highly competitive market. A team of experienced consultants from PA Consulting Group worked with a core team of GN ReSound managers and other staff to:
- Assess GN ReSound’s product development processes and supporting systems against best practice, using a combination of PA’s product development footprint, interviews with GN ReSound staff in marketing, R&D and operations and a review of several recent development programmes.
- Identify and prioritise a number of initiatives to transform performance.
- Support the GN ReSound team in planning, piloting and rolling out these initiatives across the global organisation.
