Thames Water Utilities Ltd is part of the RWE group, a leading multi-utility group providing electricity, gas and water services worldwide. Thames Water provides water and wastewater services to over 13 million customers in the UK and 64 million across 46 countries worldwide.
Under regulatory obligation to meet customer performance targets, and no longer able to threaten disconnection, Thames Water needed to minimize customer debt and, at the same time, wanted to improve customer relationships.
PA Consulting Group worked with Thames Water to implement an innovative debt management system designed to reduce the cost and time of debt collection while maximizing revenue recovered from customers.
