Performance improvement for a maker of supercomputing products

This start-up manufacturer, supplying products to a major OEM, was experiencing problems in ramping-up to full volumes in terms of both product quality and delivery performance.
   
PA helped launch the product into volume manufacture, by:

• Making design changes to improve manufacturability
• Improving process documentation
• Transfering production to a more suitable assembly partner (potential partners in both Europe and the East Coast of the USA were appraised)
• Conducting liaison and negotiations with both the new supplier and the major customer.

The client now enjoys improved commercial standing with a key customer through resolution of quality problems while achieving volume production. Internal resources have also been released to focus on the next generation of products.
