PA's work for Egg
E-business Category - MCA Awards
Position: Winner
Year: 2001
Egg, a division of Prudential Banking, was offering its customers savings accounts, loans and other financial products exclusively over the phone. Following the huge success of this telephone banking facility, it wanted to become a leading on-line banking player in the UK. To achieve this goal, the organization recognized that it needed to develop a more advanced systems architecture, capable of dealing with millions of users in a fast, reliable and secure manner.
PA worked with Egg to provide the specialist knowledge and expertise necessary to ensure that the infrastructure issues for its future Internet offering were addressed. PA carried out an in-depth survey of Egg's future systems architecture requirements and provided recommendations for the appropriate platform that would be needed to support its new Internet banking service. This project has resulted in Egg being able to move forward in the development of its various e-commerce initiatives, secure in the knowledge that it has an architecture in place that will meet the future requirements of the bank in the highly competitive, rapidly changing financial services market.
