Developing an integrated plan to host the 2000 Olympic Games

PA assisted the City of Sydney to manage the many details associated with making the 2000 Olympic Games a success.  PA developed a programme management framework to undertake the challenge, shaped the organization and worked with many public and private organizations including emergency services and government agencies. An essential element was the setting up of a programme office to co-ordinate some 300 different events, which enabled the city to develop capability, manage risk and resolve issues that arose from being the host city.
