Data warehouse ensures group consolidation, budgeting and reporting

The Danish Directorate General for Employment Placement and Vocational Training (DEV) works under the Danish Ministry of Labour. One of its roles is running 14 regional employment offices as well as the administration of labour market policies. The DEV had implemented some new financial software, but because this program did not support budgeting or reporting at regional or group level, PA was asked to create a reporting and budgeting system that could supplement the program.

The DEV gained a large number of benefits from the new system, including greater consistency in the basic data for rendering accounts and preparing reports for Finance Acts and budgets. Furthermore the shared data warehouse enables the regions to benefit from synergies.
