Implementing an FSA-compliant outsourcing solution

PA Consulting Group provided this private bank with technical advice and project management expertise for streamlining its business. A key requirement was full compliance with the new outsourcing guidelines of the Financial Services Authority (FSA), the UK banking regulator. The new policy covers all outsourcing activities undertaken by banks and building societies and sets a number of guidelines for entering into any material outsourcing arrangement, whether new or renewal. As a result of PA's work the FSA gave unqualified approval of the bank's outsourcing and restructuring program.
