Westfälische Provinzial
Coaching the project manager as interface between business units and IT
PA supported Westfälische Provinzial's project manager in leading a project to implement new tariffs for property and housing insurance. Coaching spanned internal/external communication, stakeholder and change management, project control, risk management and escalation management. A project team of 30 staff and two software providers had to be managed in a new type of project organisation to an ambitious and critical schedule and budget.
PA's support went beyond pure coaching: best practice IT and project management processes and tools were applied wherever needed - such as undertaking the bottom-up improvement of the whole IT department.
The project met its targets in the required time, budget and quality, and the client appreciated PA's consistent project and risk management, and good communication. Triggered by the value PA added to the project the client asked PA to coach four other projects.
