Siemens Dematic Postal Automation

Implementation of a new modular product platform

Siemens Dematic Postal Automation (SD PA) is one of the world’s leading suppliers of postal automation systems. To improve its competitiveness on the market and to strengthen its product portfolio, SD PA’s Sorting Machines division started a modular product platform-building project, and invited PA to apply its methodology and experience to achieve reliable and robust results quickly. 

 As a first step PA drove the process of finalising the design of a key part of the sorting machine. The first results were delivered in just 10 weeks - a two-level sorting machine which was produced in combination with product development for its first customer installation.
