Case study
Hamburgische Landesbank (now HSH Nordbank)
Optimising the bank’s recruitment process and raising its employment profile
HSH Nordbank (formerly Hamburgische Landesbank), is a German federal state bank in Hamburg. In order to compete for staff and raise its profile in the German employment market, the bank needed to redesign its processes for recruiting and selecting new employees. At the same time the bank wanted to generate better management information and reduce the administrative burden created by the existing recruitment process.
As one of the bank's trusted advisers, PA in Germany was selected to review and improve these processes. As a result of the project, HSH Nordbank now has an advanced recruitment process which will easily adapt to future developments. Job applications can now be processed faster, and thus employees recruited more professionally. A new database provides greater management information, enabling the HR department to track and allow for future manpower requirements throughout the bank.
