Distribution best practice for an international chemicals producer
As competitors changed their distribution and contracting practices, this household-name company needed to obtain better value for money from its road transport contractors. PA surveyed distribution best practice - both in the petroleum industry and in other sectors. From this survey, PA developed, tested and implemented a policy incorporating quality standards for road transport contracting. A best practice communication program was developed for client staff and contractors and performance quality measures were developed for contractors. Finally PA specified the systems required to operate the new policy.
Our client became a leader within the sector, using fewer hauliers, achieving improved quality and able to release management time for new projects.
