Supporting enforcement of insured driving

Professor David Greenaway produced a report for the Department for Transport on how Government and industry might address the issue of uninsured driving. This set out a vision for more effective enforcement of insured driving and recommended that to deliver this the Motor Insurance Database should hold details of insured persons and vehicles on a real-time basis.

PA Consulting Group was commissioned by the Association of British Insurers and the Motor Insurer's Bureau to produce a cost-benefit analysis of providing real-time data to the MID and the steps necessary for delivering this.
