Creating the foundations for an effective and efficient R&D function to serve the needs of a growing company

Our client is a global pharmaceutical company with a focus on three main therapy areas. It achieved dramatic growth in a relatively short period of time to become not only a global player but a leader in some of the disease areas in which it operates.

To ensure R&D was equipped to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable growth, the head of R&D requested PA's support to help it put in place the cornerstones for a global and effective R&D business. These pillars -  comprising regulatory submissions, managing patient safety data, clinical development plans and protocols and managing vendors - would provide the foundations for increased efficiency and effectiveness in key R&D functions, thereby supporting the growth aspirations of the organization.
