Device for an injectable paste for a US pharmaceutical company

PA is working with an international pharmaceutical company to develop a means for reliable and
repeatable preparation and injection of a paste.

The extemporaneous preparation of the paste and subsequent delivery to the site of action must be carried out in a surgical setting. This imposes exacting requirements on the preparation and delivery of the paste that must take into account sterility, speed and ease of preparation. PA developed a number of concepts that would potentially address these requirements.

From these we have developed prototypes to prove functionality and performance and will be taking forward the selected concept into further engineering development. In addition to developing the device PA is supporting the company with the regulatory submission and manufacturing route.
