An innovative safety auto-injector

PA started by carrying out an extensive Voice of the Customer exercise to develop the requirements for the injector. The specific requirements for the auto-injector required innovative technical solutions to achieve full performance and safety functionality.

The lead concept was developed to the working prototype stage by means of two workstreams. The engineering workstream worked to prove the principle of the technical solution and engineer it into the preferred external design, whilst the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) workstream worked to ensure that the design met all the user requirements.
