Case study
Denver International Airport
Project rescue of the automated baggage handling system
Denver International Airport, a $5 billion development, had its opening delayed twice, one cause being the incomplete state-of-the-art automated baggage system. The system integration challenge was enormous. PA was called in to manage the commissioning process while the system supplier, BAE, focused on the remaining technical issues. This approach ensured that the airport could open with a modified system on the revised target date.
"The testing effort and issue resolution had to be closely integrated and planned, which required a team effort by BAE and PA. This team worked extremely well together with all parties complementing and supporting one another on a daily basis. In short order the 'us and them' became very much a 'we' effort with a great deal of ownership on PA's part."
