Case study
BG Bank
An advanced IT infrastructure in the new headquarters speeds merger integration
The merger between Sparekassen Bikuben and GiroBank to form BG Bank was one of the largest and most complicated in the finance industry in Scandinavia. One of the highest profile projects in the integration program was the co-location of the Executive, Finance and Markets departments. At the same time the management was looking to migrate the IT infrastructure to a new, high speed network technology with an open and future-safe portfolio of finance applications and a state-of-the-art telecommunications solution. PA was responsible for the IT related parts of the project - choosing and implementing a new IT infrastructure which had to conform to the bank's strategy for IT and telecommunications.
