Designing a new organization for strategic partnering and business development
BT is one of the world's leading providers of telecommunications services and one of the largest private sector companies in Europe. Within BT's UK fixed network retail business, the Major Business Division (MB) provides account managed and packaged solutions to BT's corporate and government clients. MB brought in PA Consulting Group to develop the high-level organizational design for a new Partnership and Business Development Unit (PBDU) whose objective was to establish the capability and infrastructure needed to partner and pitch successfully on complex major bids.
