Austar

Successfully launching Australia's first interactive TV service on time

Austar has been the fastest growing satellite, cable television and telecommunications provider in Australia and the largest operator in its regional Australia market. Austar came to PA for assistance in defining requirements for the launch of Interactive Television (ITV) services. PA’s role expanded to include management of the overall launch programme, the infrastructure implementation and a major upgrade to 200,000 set-top boxes. In addition, PA defined the end-to-end test strategy for the launch and helped improve processes for the satellite broadcast operations center.
