In the interview Alan talks about what advice he would give to CEOs in the current economic crisis and what shape the future economy is likely to take.
Commenting on the main challenges ahead for CEOs Alan says that organisations need to make sure they are not just applying "business as usual". Alan comments: "I think it is a real challenge for CEOs to recognise it’s a different environment, to look at their business and understand how to respond to the new needs. You shouldn’t let a good crisis go to waste."
Alan is also quoted in the Financial Times commenting alongside Europe's Chief Executives on the outlook for 2010, Europe's chief executives see sluggish 2010, and Alan's comments also feature in the article European business braced for struggle: "I think that 2010 to some extent will be a continuation of 2009. It’s not going to be an easy year by any stretch of the imagination."
