Our client, one of the largest international law firms, has a reputation for an innovative approach to client service. Having grown rapidly and undergone numerous mergers in the past decade, the firm wanted to take stock of where they were and develop their long-term strategy for continued growth and international expansion.
Bringing together consultants with extensive experience within the legal sector and specialists in strategy, decision science and data analytics, we worked collaboratively with our client’s internal team to conduct a data-led assessment of the firms’ current market position, the trends shaping the legal sector, and the opportunities and challenges the firm would face.
By working closely with stakeholders at all levels, we were able to build a deep commitment and buy-in to a number of initiatives that we developed to exploit the opportunities presented by the changing shape of the market. These initiatives also aimed to protect the gains the firm had made in recent years. The PA team went on to advise the firm on the implementation of a number of these initiatives, including the commercial aspects of their business support sourcing arrangements, approach to client segmentation and relationship management, and proposals to address the profitability challenge.
