Our client, a major domestic UK law firm, dominant in the insurance market, had grown rapidly through mergers and organic growth. The firm asked PA to help them assess their IT capabilities’ fitness to meet current and future business requirements.
PA fielded a multi-disciplinary team, including experts in IT strategy, business design and change management with experience in the legal sector. Our team included former law firm leaders, up to and including partner level and support service director.
Led by business requirements and informed by rapidly changing market conditions, we developed an IT strategy fit for the future and a roadmap of initiatives to achieve it. The PA team consulted widely with the business and ensured stakeholders were bought into the change. This culminated in the unanimous approval of the partnership for a £multi-million investment in upgrading core systems, including case and practice management. The proposal developed by PA was underpinned by a robust business case demonstrating that the financial benefits of the upgrade outweighed the costs by a ratio of 6:1
We went on to work with this client as a trusted advisor throughout all stages of strategy implementation, including procurement and commercial negotiation with third parties, and reengineering key business processes to fully exploit the new system’s capabilities.
