Our client, one of the elite global law firms, had expanded rapidly from their US base in the last decade to establish themselves as major players in the UK, French, German and key Asian jurisdictions. The firm was keen that their growing international footprint should not dilute their ‘one firm’ culture and engaged PA to investigate whether shared services could enable them to maintain their consistent, responsive levels of business support.
PA assembled a team including former lawyers, legal sector experts and consultants with years of experience setting up and managing shared services for major law firms and blue-chip companies. We worked side by side with the client’s team, drawn from across jurisdictions, to engage key business representatives and build a compelling case for change. We also produced a robust business case and financial model to underpin the project and a location study to identify the best strategic fit for the firm.
In addition to enhancing the quality of service provided to lawyers and clients, we identified long-term financial benefits worth $100m+ that could be realised by establishing a single shared service centre.
