UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) is the government agency responsible for promoting the UK as an excellent place to do business. We worked with UKTI to deliver inward investment operations that played a critical role in securing a sustainable economic recovery following the global financial crisis.
Our team supported foreign companies looking to set up in the UK. We also worked with global businesses with a presence in the UK to ensure they chose to remain and expand their operations in the country.
Our work included supporting 2,000 companies as they grow their UK business. We worked with a leading diamond company to secure a global innovation centre in Oxford, creating 80 PhD-level jobs. And we assisted a global German sweet manufacturer in establishing a new factory in Wakefield, which safeguarded over 400 jobs and created nearly 300 new ones. In total, our work secured over 150,000 UK jobs.
