PA Consulting Group’s Mike Boxall, a higher education expert, is quoted in Education Investor. Mike talks about PA’s annual higher education survey.
The article reports that the survey found that two-thirds of the 95 leaders surveyed felt that ‘significant rationalisation through mergers or takeovers’ was a likely outcome of the coalition’s higher education reforms.
The survey also found that a majority of universities are moving to diversify their income, by establishing partnerships with other organisations – a move PA's higher education researcher Mike Boxall described as a "quiet revolution".
The article goes on to look at the predictions of higher education leaders on the future role of partnerships with international institutions, industry or commercial organisations.
