"The toothbrushes contain intelligent sensors that recognise brushing patterns and give encouraging words to support better brushing."

Children armed to the teeth

Cambridge News

11 December 2012

An article in Cambridge News is dedicated to a new concept for toothbrushes, designed by PA Consulting Group.

The article reports on the new toothbrush, a ‘Brushead’ and explains that this is a 3D-sculptured cartoon character, designed so that kids can relate to it and grow to love it. The toothbrushes contain intelligent sensors that recognise brushing patterns and give encouraging words to support better brushing.

The article goes on to explain how the Brushead is linked to an app which means children can interact with each Brushead character, through their smartphone if they are old enough or on the web. This allows them to check out their brushing performance and allows their parents to monitor their child’s progress and keep an eye on patterns and trends, reports the article.
