PA’s Stephen Bailey, head of operational risk, is interviewed on BBC London’s Gaby Roslin and Paul Ross show. Stephen addresses the impact of the Olympics on the London area of Victoria, and how PA is preparing for any disruption.
“Victoria is going to be one of the main transport hubs and as well as that we have Hyde Park which is going to be one of the live viewing events. There are events in places like Horse Guards, so that area is going to be quite busy during the games.”
Stephen goes on to talk about how PA Consulting is preparing for the Olympics: “We have two things that we are looking at: one is keeping our office open so that the people that do need to come into London can get into the office ok and then it functions as normal. The other thing really is making sure that our consultants who go out and work with clients all across London have got enough information to be able to get themselves to client sites and back home again each day.”
When asked how long he has been planning for, Stephen responded with: “We formed a little team just before Christmas to start looking at this and we have started in earnest now.”
