PA business transformation expert, Stefan Knapp, has had a byline article published in Finans.dk looking at how companies should apply the concept of simplicity to improve customer experience and reduce costs. According to Stefan, simplicity should saturate all processes within a company.
Stefan says: “It’s not about eliminating complexity – that’s simply impossible. It’s rather about managing and handling complexity in a way that makes the solution appear simple.”
Companies engage with simplicity in various ways, primarily by simplifying their organisation, processes, IT platforms, customer experience, products or services. However, as suggested in a Forbes article last year, it may be worth employing a Chief Simplicity Officer who can eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy, processes and procedures.
“Modern companies focus on cost reduction, increased digitisation and better customer experiences. Simplicity has become an important tool when handling these challenges,” says Stefan.
