PA Consulting Group appoints new CEO - 12 March 2007

PA Consulting Group, the leading global management, systems and technology consultancy, today announced the appointment of a new CEO.

Bruce Tindale, the current CEO, will step down on 1 September 2007, following 30 years in PA, the last four as CEO. He will be succeeded by Alan Middleton, who currently leads PA's IT Strategy business and is in addition Chairman of PA's Partner Election Committee and a member of PA's International Board.

PA's Succession Committee initiated an extensive consultation process at the end of last year and are unanimous that Alan Middleton is the outstanding candidate to succeed Bruce Tindale as PA's next CEO. Alan has been with PA throughout his working career: he has extensive experience in delivering business and commercial strategy and systems, to major organisations in the financial services and professional services sectors.

Jon Moynihan, PA's Executive Chairman, commenting on Alan Middleton's appointment, said:

"PA's Succession Committee was unanimous that Alan is the right person to take on the role of CEO, having all the necessary qualities to build on Bruce Tindale's excellent stewardship of PA and lead the company to a successful and exciting future. Alan's strong consulting experience, operational management skills and detailed knowledge of PA will enable him to quickly assimilate the role and take PA to greater heights."

Bruce Tindale, PA's current CEO, commented:

"Alan has all the qualities that we are looking for in our next CEO - leadership; a clear vision for the future direction of the company; coupled with a strong understanding of PA's unique culture and processes. I am confident that Alan will be able to maintain our current strong momentum and lead PA to even greater success."

Alan Middleton, commenting on his appointment, said:

"I am delighted to be taking on the role of CEO. The building blocks for PA's continued success, and its reputation for adding outstanding value to clients, are well established. PA has a unique capability of helping clients deliver strategy formulation, operational improvement, systems, products and processes. I have every confidence that I, and the rest of the management team, can take PA further on this successful road."
