PA Consulting Group recognizes Florida Power & Light among best in utility customer care with 2004 ServiceOne™ award

New York, NY – PA Consulting Group announced today that Florida Power & Light Company has been included among the inaugural winners of its 2004 ServiceOne™ awards. The ServiceOne™ award recognizes utilities for providing exceptional service to their customers as determined by a set of 18 objective measures of excellence in customer care, identified by a panel of industry experts.
Florida Power & Light joins Duke Power, Kansas City Power & Light and Northwestern Energy as inaugural ServiceOne™ winners.
Although the award recognizes companies for their excellence in customer service in 2003, the certification effort was delayed by the series of hurricanes that swept through Florida in 2004.
“As evidence of Florida Power & Light’s dedication to its customers, the utility put its highest emphasis on ‘doing good’ at a time when the community needed them most,“ said Ken Buckstaff, a member of PA’s management group. “We commend Florida Power & Light, and all of this year’s winners, for their determination to supply the needs of their customers, as well as their vision to identify additional service enhancements that will benefit their customers for years to come.”
