James Black - A senior new joiner for PA Consulting Group’s Manufacturing Industries Practice

James Black has recently joined PA Consulting Group’s global Manufacturing Industries Practice.
James joins as a member of PA's management group and has over 23 years' manufacturing and engineering industry experience in both line management and consulting roles. Prior to joining PA James was a partner at Evolve Management Partners for two years and before that spent 12 years with Gemini Consulting. Before becoming a management consultant, James worked for: Procter and Gamble in the product supply operation within the Health and Beauty Care Business Unit; Asea AB (now ABB) as a design engineer; and for Mertz and McLellan as a consultant engineer.
His industry consulting experience has been with clients in: life sciences and chemicals; consumer products; retail and distribution; aerospace and defence; automotive; upstream oil and gas; energy and utilities; and general discrete manufacture - in most cases covering pan-European and global client programmes/engagements.
James' 14 years of management consulting experience include: growing and managing pan-European and global business operations; post merger integration; designing and implementing complex business transformations; and purchasing, manufacturing and supply chain excellence. James has a BSc and an MSc in electrical and electronic engineering.
