PA Consulting Group explains the value of effective outsourcing and how to deliver it - Paper at Outsourcing in Mobile (24 June), Brussels - 09 June 2003

Graham Beck and Jurgen Wittkopp from PA Consulting Group, the leading international management, systems and technology consultancy, will explain:

at a paper that will be given at IBC's Outsourcing in Mobile conference, in Brussels on 24 June 2003 (09.00).

Based on findings of PA's recent international outsourcing survey*, and their combined industry experience, the duo will explain the value of effective outsourcing - vital for business advantage in such difficult operating conditions - and why weak relationship management and rigid contract terms often reduce benefits to a mere "wish list" before an outsourcing deal is even completed.

They will focus on how to position for and execute a successful sourcing arrangement as a mobile network operator, key to which is a realistic approach to planning, execution and ongoing management of the relationship.

Jurgen Wittkopp who heads PA's Value Added Services group in Wireless Technology, will cover aspects players in the mobile communication community especially need to be aware of when looking at IT and network outsourcing. He draws on over 13 years' experience managing business, technical and organisational projects for suppliers, operators, regulators and investors covering GSM, UMTS and the consumer electronics industry.

Graham Beck, one of PA's leading exponents of outsourcing advice, has marketed, sold, delivered, and used outsourcing services since their inception, and now gives guidance - to both the public and private sectors - on all phases of the outsourcing lifecycle. He will identify the latest issues emerging from the marketplace and the practically based insight PA has for dealing with them.

PA's international outsourcing research is intended to clarify the relationship between the outsourcing process and the value it delivers through the realization of business benefits.
