PA Consulting Group, the leading international management, systems and technology consultancy, has announced the appointment of a number of new consultants to its Product and Process Engineering (P&PE) Practice, at its Cambridge Technology Centre - a sign of confidence in its activities.
Despite the current, gloomy UK business outlook, and a climate of cut backs and redundancies in the Cambridge employment market, PA has strengthened its team with the addition of five consulting staff to P&PE, with more appointments to the practice to follow soon.
Jon Howells - joins the Drug Delivery group
Jon has 20 years' pharmaceutical experience in R&D and Manufacturing, most recently with GlaxoSmithKline. As an analytical chemist working with product development and automation engineers in PA's project teams, he will provide an ideal channel of communication with our clients.
Colin Toombs - joins the Medical and Drug Delivery group
Colin was previously employed at the Automation Partnership.He brings expertise in the design and implementation of automated solutions for the pharmaceutical and life science industries.
Janet Townsend - joins the Engineering Sciences group
Janet previously led activities in optical communications' product and process development at Cambridge Consultants Ltd. At PA she will draw on her world-leading research in optical fibres to enhance PA's capability in advanced materials and photonics engineering.
Charlie Dean - joins the Product Engineering group
Having just completed a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing and Management, Charlie brings skills in research, analysis, concept generation, design, development and testing of new products.
David Edington - joins the Engineering Sciences group
David's background in complex fluids will enhance PA's product development capabilities in the food, pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
