Dr William Webb from PA Consulting Group, the leading international management, systems and technology consultancy, will be putting RF advances into the context of future developments in wireless in his keynote paper at the 5th RFIC Symposium in Seattle (Washington State, USA) on 3 June 2002*.
The Symposium, an annual event dedicated to the advancement of integrated radio frequency circuits and subsystems for RF and communications applications, attracted over 2,000 delegates last year, making it a key wireless technology conference.
William Webb's paper entitled 'From cell phone to remote control on life' will predict likely changes to wireless systems in 2010 and 2020 and explain the impact they are likely to have on networks and devices.
In a time of tightening budgets in the telecommunications industry, this keynote paper will provide valuable insight for manufacturers, operators and regulators who face the challenge of understanding where best to invest their limited resources.
In particular it will address:
- the progress of 3G
- the emergence of W-LANs
- the importance of providing integrated communications across multiple environments.
