David Sokal strengthens PA Consulting Group's Global Financial Services Practice

PA Consulting Group, the global management, systems, and technology consulting firm, announced the appointment of David Sokal as a member of PA's Management Group. Mr. Sokal joins PA Consulting Group's global Financial Services Practice, where he will continue to serve banking, insurance, and finance clients across a wide range of growth, distribution, service and profitability issues. He will be based in PA's new office located in the Chrysler Building in New York.
"In the short amount of time David has been with us, his energy and team leadership have already made a mark on our business," observed Roar Thoresen, the head of PA Consulting Group's Financial Services Practice.
Mr. Sokal joins PA Consulting Group from Andersen Consulting, where he helped build their financial services strategy and eCommerce practices. He has 15 years of payment systems experience, working with industry leaders to aggressively stimulate growth and to creatively lower operating expenses. Previously, he served as staff to the CEO of MasterCard International where he also created and successfully led a strategic retention and quality initiative to build brand share and raise member bank profitability. Mr. Sokal began his career as a management consultant to financial institutions at Arthur Andersen & Co. and Booz, Allen & Hamilton after graduating from The University of Chicago with an MBA in Finance and an AB in Linguistics.
