The Management Consultancies Association Best Management Practice Awards
The MCA's Management Awards have been given annually for more than a decade. During this time many groundbreaking projects have been acknowledged through these Awards, recognising the skills that consultants have brought to bear, the relationships they have built with their clients, and the significant value that has been delivered. The rigorous process by which each nomination is assessed - with captains of industry, business school academics, and leading business journalists acting as judges - has contributed to the high standing that these awards enjoy in the private and public sectors.
Many consulting firms have enjoyed success, but one company - PA Consulting Group - stands out from the rest, winning over 32% of all the top awards in the eight years it has taken part. This includes winning the Overall Award on four occasions and securing 16 Gold category winners. No other consulting firm in the UK comes close to matching this record.
In 2006, PA picked up six of the top prizes, including the Platinum prize of Overall winner for the best consulting assignment of the year. No other consulting firm was given more than two top awards.
