In a long feature devoted to exploring the idea of virtual worlds, Claus Nehmzow and Alex Kingsbury were interviewed about how PA is using Second Life in its marketing, business and recruitment activities.
Claus talked about PA's office in Second Life which was established a year ago and how PA uses Second Life as a communications medium that sits between the PA Web site and real life meetings. He talked about its use in business-to-business marketing, recruitment and as a client meeting forum with considerable benefits over video conferencing.
Alex Kingsbury is a new PA employee who was part recruited through Second Life, which he said confirmed PA's credentials as an innovative company. He talked about how he used PA's Second Life office as part of the research for his recruitment process, commenting that he 'was able to ask the cheekier questions that he wouldn't necessarily have been able to ask in real life'.
Claus and Alex were interviewed alongside the CEO of Linden Labs and other commentators on Second Life on the impact of virtual worlds on the real world.
