Providing mutual support
At PA we recognise that our employees may require differing levels of support from us during their career. Our mutual support programme is dedicated to supporting, connecting and developing our people globally as their careers progress and their lives change. Via this programme we have embarked on delivering a series of mechanisms, frameworks and resources, which our employees can draw on or which are provided in a more structured manner, to specifically support them throughout their career and life at PA.
For example, some of our employees may want to take a sabbatical but, before making a firm commitment, might find it beneficial to speak to like-minded people in the organisation who have already been through the experience. To address this need we have introduced a buddy network dedicated to linking such employees globally.
In addition, we are introducing employee support networks and have developed informal guides. Informal guides are practical guides written by people in the business to support employees at different life stages and at different points in their career. The guides, including examples about maternity leave, taking a sabbatical and making part-time working successful, are being regularly updated. Furthermore, a buddy scheme to provide support to newly promoted employees has been set up, and also a Developing Female Leaders Forum
