Figures show that the number of people car-pooling and sharing empty seats in their cars is increasing in the Southern region of Denmark.
PA transport expert, Soren Have, explains some of the reasons behind this development, and encourages companies to take make the most of the trend. Soren shares his view in Danish newspaper Jydske Vestkysten.
Soren comments: “If we want to increase car-pooling even more, companies need to coordinate car-pooling among their employees.” He adds that the use of social media plays a vital role in regards to car-pooling: “Many people handle the trust issue through social media. For instance, you can check out a person’s data on Facebook before you make an arrangement to share a ride.”
